Joyful Learning Through Play, Exploration and Activity-Based Methods
Our Pre-Primary Program is designed to create a joyful, safe, and stimulating environment where children learn through exploration, play, and hands-on experiences. At Sri Gayatri Schools, we believe that early childhood education forms the foundation for future learning, and therefore, our curriculum focuses on nurturing curiosity, creativity, communication, and confidence in every child.
A Child-Centered Learning Experience
In the Pre-Primary years, children absorb knowledge best when they interact, move, and explore. Our activity-based and play-way approach ensures that learning is fun, meaningful, and developmentally appropriate. Every activity is thoughtfully designed to support physical, emotional, social, and cognitive growth.
Program Highlights
Literacy and Language Development
Children begin building early literacy through phonics, stories, rhymes, vocabulary-building games, picture cards, and role-play activities. Pre-writing skills are introduced through tracing, pattern writing, sand play, and digital tracing tools.
Numeracy Skills
Students develop a strong understanding of numbers, shapes, colours, and patterns through beads, blocks, manipulatives, and interactive smartboard tools. Early math becomes exciting with games, puzzles, matching activities, and number hunts.
Environmental Awareness (EVS)
Through nature walks, exploration corners, and theme-based learning, children begin to understand their surroundings. Topics like My Family, Animals, Transport, Community Helpers, Seasons, and Plants are introduced in simple, relatable ways.
Art, Craft, Dance and Music
Creative expression is at the heart of early learning. Children participate in art and craft, clay modelling, free drawing, dance, singing, and rhythm activities to develop imagination and sensory awareness.
Motor Skill Development
Both fine and gross motor skills are strengthened through activities such as bead stringing, block building, obstacle courses, yoga for kids, balancing tasks, and free-play movement.
Social and Emotional Development
Children learn essential values like sharing, caring, helping, and teamwork. Circle time, buddy activities, stories, and role-play help them build confidence, communication skills, and positive relationships.
Digital Classroom Integration
Smartboard lessons, animations, digital phonics programs, math games, and interactive quizzes enhance understanding and make learning visually rich and engaging. Technology is used to support — not replace — hands-on learning.
